NCC's General Education Specialized Diploma

The General Education Specialized Diploma program allows Dual Enrollment students to complete general education courses at a fraction of the cost of the same credits at a four-year institution. Students will:

  • Prepare for Associate Degree completion or transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree in the major of your choice.
  • Utilize online course offerings to better fit your schedule.
  • Explore a variety of fields and discover what subjects suit you best.
  • Gain a well-rounded understanding of social, cultural, behavioral, scientific and computer-related subjects.

Ready to get started and pursue the General Education Specialized Diploma?

Declare a New Major with the college via your student Workday account. This quick video will demonstrate how. When asked to choose an area of study, select "General Studies SD (Dual Enrollment Students ONLY)".

We have a limited number of dual enrollment scholarships available each semester, and preference is given to students who receive free/reduced lunch and/or are first generation college students. Click here to apply for this scholarship.

  • If you are hoping to complete this diploma as part of the scholarship, wait to register for classes until you receive specific instructions on if you have been awarded the scholarship. You'll be given direction on which classes to register for.
  • If you are not planning to complete the diploma as part of the scholarship, you can move forward, at your convenience, and register for courses included in the specialized degree.
