October 2023 Update
Middle States progress remains strong, with workgroups compiling data for their chapter outlines. This part of the project is the most intensive, so please continue to offer your expertise to anyone within the MSCHE committee who requires assistance.
In this process, the workgroup co-chairs are reporting that the groups are benefiting personally from learning more about what’s happening in other areas of the college! Middle States accreditation certainly serves as a catalyst for this understanding—allowing us to celebrate our strengths and identify areas where we can improve, benefiting both our students and the entire institution. But don’t wait to be asked what you do or what others are up to. Take a breather and walk the campus or have lunch with someone from a different area. The connections we make today will stay valuable long after Middle States wraps up next year!
In other news, the website (northampton.edu/about/accreditation) has been refreshed to better serve the external community. It now provides comprehensive information about the 2025 accreditation process, making it more user-friendly and accessible to the community.
If you have questions about accreditation or how you can get involved, click here. All members of the NCC community are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
